We aim to foster live jazz across all genres, New Orleans jazz (Dixieland) through Big Band, Swing, Bebop, Cool jazz, and Hard Bop, to later developments like Free jazz, Modal jazz, jazz Fusion (blending with rock), Latin jazz, and Contemporary styles like Acid jazz and Smooth jazz in the Newcastle and Hunter Valley area.

The club holds a live jazz concert with bands ranging from trio to big bands, on the last Sunday of the month, our annual Jazz Festival at the end of August, plus other functions throughout the year.
